An accurate quotation depends on accurate information. Missing details that have to be asked for later are a common cause of delay in OEM orders. Use this checklist when you contact a rubber product manufacturer, including us. We produce rubber and plastic products for overseas customers through OEM services, and we can make products to your required specifications, materials and rubber formula.
The checklist
- Product. The model number from our catalogue, or a drawing, photo or sample if the product is different from our standard models.
- Specification changes. If you want to change a standard model, state the capacity, dimensions and weight you need, and which of them matter most.
- Material and compound. What the product will hold or be used for, the temperature range, and any oils, fuels or chemicals it will meet, so we can confirm a suitable rubber compound.
- Quantity. Your first order quantity and, if you know it, your expected annual quantity. Minimum order quantity depends on the item and is confirmed in the quotation.
- Marking and packaging. Any logo, marking or packaging requirement. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what is feasible.
- Destination and trade term. Your destination port and the trade term you want, for example FOB or CIF. Our factory is in Sanmen, Zhejiang, 120 km from Ningbo Port.
- Timeline. When you need the goods, so lead time can be checked against your plan.
- Contact. Your name, company and email.
An example request
A short, complete request looks like this:
We need 3,000 pieces of BB012A rubber bucket, 12 L, delivered to Rotterdam. We would like the bucket to be 10 mm taller if possible and need it to withstand temperatures down to −20 °C. Please quote FOB Ningbo and tell us the lead time.
With this we can check the change, confirm the compound and quote without further questions.
What happens next
We reply by email with a quotation. If anything is unclear we ask before quoting, so that the price and the product match. You can add several models at once with the quote list on every product page.
