- 7–14 L buckets are easier to carry over distance: a full 8 L BY008 weighs about 9.5 kg, a full 14 L BY014 about 16 kg.
- Wide tubs such as the BT028 (28 L, 170 mm high) are easy to shovel into when mixing compost or potting soil.
- Shallow pans such as the BP009 keep parts and tools within reach in a workshop.
- Store rubber in the shade when not in use and clean it with water and mild detergent, not solvents.

What size of rubber bucket is best for the garden?
For carrying water and soil over distance, 8–14 L buckets are easiest: the BY008 weighs about 9.5 kg full of water and the BY014 about 16 kg. A 20 L bucket such as the BB020 weighs about 23 kg full, which is a lot to carry far.
Can rubber buckets be left outdoors?
Yes, but sunlight and ozone age rubber slowly, so storing buckets in the shade when they are not in use makes them last longer. Black, carbon-filled compounds resist UV better than light colours.
Can rubber buckets hold oil or solvents?
Some rubber compounds swell in contact with oils, fuels and solvents. If the bucket will hold them, tell us the contents so we can confirm or adapt the compound before you order.
